Innowatech is a Specific Targeted Research Project supported by the European Commission under Thematic Priority 'Global Change and Ecosystems' of the Sixth Framework Programme.

INNOWATECH will provide effective technological solutions for the treatment of industrial wastewater. Such solutions are vital for supporting and enhancing the competitiveness of different industrial sectors, including the water technology sector, in the global market. The main expected results of the project will be:
·new concepts, processes and technologies in wastewater treatment with potential benefits for the stable quality of effluents, energy and operational costs saving, and the protection of the environment ·new sets of advanced standards for wastewater treatment ·new methodologies for the definition of wastewater treatment needs and framework conditions ·new know-how for contributing to enhancing the European (Water) Industry competitiveness ·new procedures for the transfer of the developed know-how ·new information supporting development and implementation of water legislation.
